In order for your home to provide you the function and practicality you’re looking for, storage solutions have to be found, above and beyond any decorating. Any home that’s full of clutter is unorganized, therefore making your home uncomfortable, a place that is stressful to be in.

Certainly, a small investment will be required to purchase bins and other types of storage. But, it’s an investment that you will thank yourself for. Not only will you be able to store things away, you’ll find that your home is going to be more functional and stress-free. Clutter does create stress in a home. You can start with closet organizers. These items can increase your storage space more than 1 1/2 times.

If you have musical instruments, make sure that you put them away. For instance, your Alvarez acoustic guitar could sit on a stand in the corner of the living room, bedroom, or any other room for that matter. As long as an item has a home, there is room for it, and your home looks better.

For those of you who are sports enthusiasts, find ways to organize your garage so that you don’t have to keep searching for things. For instance, your bicycles could be stored hanging from the ceiling on special racks. Not only does this open up space for you, it also keeps the space looking right. Your black helmet that you use for various sports could be hung in a convenient location, as it will be used more often. Things like hockey equipment and other seasonal sporting equipment should be stored according to its use and particular season.

Once all your things have found a home, you’ll find that you have accomplished a lot. Then you can start implementing a little style, giving that designers touch. In order to do that, you need to use some home decor accents. It’s the quickest and easiest way to turn any room around, and it’s also the least expensive way.

You can begin by adding some color in a room by painting. You don’t have to go all the way and paint the entire room. Instead, make an accent wall. Then, a color should be used throughout the room in other ways.

For example, purchase some throw pillows and place them nicely on your couch. A similar color could be used on a lamp shade. And in another corner of the room, you could inject more of that same color through a collection, or one large piece of art. Sculpted pieces all of the same color, if they are smaller in size, should be grouped together in order to have an impact.
