Finding the right Fencing Hire for You.

Fence Hire: It’s a bit of a minefield with so many different varieties, it can be hard to pick the right one for your particular job. There is such an array – from heras fencing to crowd barriers and from hoarding to picket the whole array can be overwhelming. My experience in fence hire comes from years of working in the events hire industry for Mark Attwood, so I like to think that I know my way around! Take for example, an entrance to an event. The sheer amount of people descending on to the site means that you will need sturdy equipement to keep everyone safe and heading in the right direction. This is what crowd barriers are perfect for, light enough to move around, but solid enough to create a strong barrier to keep people moving to their destination. One thing you must do is figure out the quantity of units required but you should only do this after ascertaining your fencing needs. If you can measure the vicinity this will help you calculate your fencing requirements. Afterwards, the length of barrier needs to be worked out – crowd barriers for example measure 2.5 metres. Then with basic mathematics, you can work out how many units of fence hire you need.

When booking – I ordered from a guy called Mark Attwood – it is also important to ask if the fencing hire – whichever it is you choose – comes with clips and footings. You need these utensils to bind your fencing together and keep it nicely erect. Quotations will come with the cost per unit, but also the haulage charge – this is just a standard transport cost to get your order from the depot to your site. Haulage prices can vary depending on the distance from your site to the depot. Hoarding is usually used for reconstruction work on buildings particularly supermarkets. Construction sites use heras fencing – which is also called anti-climb or anti-vandal fencing bacause the tight mesh and the height of the units make it almost impossible for anyone to climb over it. Just remember, don’t be confused by fence hire, follow the simple rules above and the job should run smoothly as long as you get good advice from your fence hire supply company. fence security
